Do you feel anxious, sad, or stressed out from trying to navigate life on your own? Are you feeling misunderstood in your relationships, disconnected from loved ones, or stuck in patterns you feel powerless to change? Are you questioning aspects of your identity, striving to find a purpose, or deconstructing from beliefs which cause you internal conflict? If so, you have come right place.
I believe that no question is inappropriate to ask, no issue is too challenging to face, and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I believe in creating an open and safe environment so that thoughts and feelings can be expressed without fear of judgment or shame. My counseling style is collaborative, warm, respectful, empathic, and engaging. I am a good listener, and my goal is to help you make sense of your circumstances through life-giving conversations, life-altering revelations, and emotional connections. I utilize a wide variety of approaches depending on your needs, and I apply a client-centered approach.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan with over 5 years of experience working as a Clinical Crisis Counselor and Family Therapist. I have specialties in both Marriage and Family Therapy and School Social Work as well as advanced training in Couple Communication™ and PREPARE/ENRICH. I have helped many individuals, couples, and families address communication concerns, depression and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting and family difficulties, grief and loss, and work-life balance concerns.
I realize that it takes courage to reach out for help and I would be honored to partner with you on your journey. Please call Great Lakes Psychology Group at (616) 369-9224 to request an appointment.
